About the Event
About Kathy Cooper
Kathy has been devoted to the practice of Ashtanga Yoga since 1976, studying directly with pioneers David Williams, Nancy Gilgoff, and Sri K. Pattabhi Jois in both the U.S. and Mysore, India. With nearly five decades of daily practice, she brings a wealth of embodied wisdom and a deep understanding of breath, bandha, and alignment.
Her teaching emphasizes presence, inner connection, and mindful strength — guiding students to release physical and energetic blockages and discover balance, vitality, and joy.
Kathy’s lifelong exploration of yoga, meditation, and healing arts such as Jin Shin Jyutsu informs her holistic approach. She invites practitioners to move from the inside out, deepen their awareness, and experience Ashtanga as a path of transformation and awakening.
